Make Up Games and Your Mind

Make up games have a distinct impression on how you feel and what you want to do with your day. When you feel pretty, you act more confident and can quite realistically have a more productive day. Of course, for some, pretty is a hard term to swallow, especially in a professional sense, but isn’t that the true point of make up games?

Looking Good with Make Up Games
When we were young, we played with make up games to see what sort of things looked good on us. Now that we’re older, we have a better idea of the kinds of make up we like and how we want to put it on. And of course, the make up we’re choosing has more to do with how we feel inside than how we look outside.

When you put make up on, you know you look more polished and pulled together. The effect of wearing the right make up is powerful – your features stand out and you do look pretty. Even those who would rather be tough and professional like make up games because deep inside, they like to look beautiful, too.

Make Up Games and Winter

Baby it’s cold outside and your make up games should reflect the season. In the winter, you’ll want to take especially good care of your face as it will be assaulted in so many different ways. The worst enemy of your face is the sun. But in addition to the sun, over the colder months of the winter you’ll also have the drying effect of heaters and the chapping of the wind.

Your best protection against all of this are a powerful daytime moisturizer with sunscreen and a heavy-duty night cream to keep your skin moisturized and wrinkle free. Treating your skin carefully over the years will reduce the number of wrinkles you see as you get older and begin to experience some of the more powerful signs of aging.

Winter also means your skin will be in stark light often, even harsh light from florescent bulbs and the sun outside. Put on a smooth, light layer of moisturizer under base before adding powder and blush to your regime. You’ll have dewy skin with a bit of color, no matter what the weather is doing or how you feel.

Winter Make Up Games and Skin

When winter rolls around, there are two things that do a number of your skin. The cold, dry wind that blows around every day saps moistures from your skin and can chap your lips, cheeks and even eyelids. The more sensitive skin chaps easily and will need special care to not only prevent the chapping, but to stay even more moisturized to keep things fluid and lovely.

The second problem with winter skin is the heater that keeps you warm. When the heater turns on over and over again during the day and night, all moisture from your skin seems to be leaking away as you’re washed in hot, dry air. Buy a humidifier and put it next to your bed to help your skin stay moist and lather up in a heavy moisturizer every time you take a shower. You’ll need heat in the cold weather, but you can turn the heater down a bit and throw on a sweater to keep some of that intense drying heat away.

Christmas Make Up Games

When the holidays roll around, you’ll want to take some extra steps with your make up games. Playing make up games over the holidays is not only perfectly natural, but it’s a lot of fun as well. Playing Christmas make up games means finding the perfect look for those holiday picture and special occasions. An evening Christmas dance will get a much different make-up look than your holiday party with friends and family around the Christmas tree.

Christmas make up games are a bit heavier usually than the look you had in the summer. The winter requires a great deal of moisture so be sure you apply a layer of moisturizer before starting your make up. Base, powder, blush and highlighter are the basics. Add a bit of holiday glam and glamour to your lips and eyelids to really make things sparkle and dazzle.

Make Up Games and Zits

Personally, I hate playing make up games and having to deal with zits. When those ugly little boogers show up on my face, the last thing I want to do is irritate them more by putting make up over them and making the spot worse. When you’re playing make up games and you need to deal with the zits, you’ll need to take some precautions.

Wash your face well as your first step. You don’t want any lingering oils or dirt on your face to be trapped under make-up.

Distinguish the kind of zit you’re dealing with. Is this an invisible zit that you can feel better than you can see? If so, you can probably leave it open to the elements to heal more quickly. If you’re dealing with the bright red variety, you’ll want to tackle that kind of spot in a different way.

After washing, apply a light, non-oily moisturizer. Then tap a dot of foundation over the spot. If it’s still visible a tap of concealer will help to hide it even more effectively. Keep your make-up as light as possible as a heavy application can make your skin more agitated. Focus on your eyes and lips more than covering your face with foundation and powder.

Make Up Games and Mascara

Too often I see people wearing their mascara incorrectly. While I’m not a make-up artist and I couldn’t even pretend to be a style guide, I wonder if these people realize the effect they create by playing make up games with mascara and taking it a bit too far over the top. From too heavy an application to coverage that doesn’t make sense, there is much to learn for most of us, and like everyone, I’m most certainly a life-long make up games learner.

When you apply mascara, you should wiggle the brush a bit at the base of the eyelashes to be sure that the coverage there is sound. Then gently sweep the brush out form the eyelid to the tip of the lashes. The tips of the lashes might be invisibly pale, so seeing your lashes get longer is just part of the game.

Once you’ve applied that first coating, a light second coating can ensure good coverage, but anything more than that is too much. On the opposite end of the spectrum, applying a dark mascara to light lashes is almost always a bad idea. When applying the mascara, always start with a color just a few shades darker than your eyelashes and work from the eyelids out. If you leave a gap, your eyelashes will appear to be floating over your eye.

Make Up Games and Spray Tanners

Spray tans are one of the most popular parts of make up games today. In fact, spray tans have become so realistic they have all but replaced many fake tanning beds and laying out for that sun kissed look. Spray tanners are also much safer than using the sun or artificial tanning beds to create that same look. The spray tanners are simply a spray that sticks to your skin and helps the top layer of your skin take on the look of a tan.

When you consider how wonderful we look with a healthy tan, it’s not surprising that so many people baked themselves in tanning beds. Lying out in the sun is certainly not healthy, but even knowing that plenty of people still did it to get that bright sunny look. Tanned skin looks healthy and active, but getting a tan in a healthy way requires staying out of the sun. Spray tanning is truly the only option available for the health conscious individuals.

If you feel the need to be tanned as part of the make up games, be sure to create the look using spray tanners rather than risking future skin damage with too much skin exposure.

Make Up Games for Fall

Fall is in the air, and with the turning of the seasons, you need to prepare your make up for the change in temperature and climate conditions. Fall make up tends to be very earthy. You want your colors to reflect the natural colors of the earth with plenty of browns, reds, greens, dark blues and gold. Think of those lovely falling leaves when selecting colors for autumn.

But outside of selecting the right colors for fall, you’ll also need to find ways to treat and pamper your skin as the air outside turns colder and drier and the air inside gets hotter and stuffier. Fall air can be great for skin if it’s wet and dewey out. But when those cold breezes blow through and you can feel the lack of moisture in the air, you’re going to need to step up your game a bit.

Moisturize heavily during these times to keep your skin in peak condition while the dry conditions try to sap the moisture away. A light cream under your make up and a heavier cream worn at night will keep your skin moist. Don’t forget to include eye creams to protect that fragile area of the face as well.

Make Up Games and Face Paint

It’s almost Halloween and this is the perfect season to have a ball with face paint. If you happen to have a truly artistic friend or you’re an artist yourself, make up games with face paint will be a perfect treat. The games are simple to play – you just go wild with face paints.

Start with a basic design such as a crown or a message of some kind. Then you can get more creative by painting full face designs that will dazzle others. To wear your face painting out, you’ll need to be the right kind of personality, however. Putting a giant butterfly on your face complete with glitter will only wow in the clubs if you have the kind of personality to make it fly.

On Halloween, absolutely use face paints to have a great time. Paint on overdone make up or stitches. Use the make up to enhance your costume or to create an entirely new one just for the fun of it. Black shirt, black pants and a wild face will make a terrific costume, there is no doubt about it.

Make Up Games and Dry Skin

It’s winter and it’s likely you’ll be looking at a bit of dry skin over the next few months. Tackling dry skin in regards to make up games is simple enough if you’re willing to be diligent.

Humidity – the warm humid air of summer is great for your skin. It makes it nice and dewy. Unfortunately, there isn’t much of that weather to go around in the winter, so you’ll have to create your own. Pull out the humidifier and plug it in beside your bed every night. All that lovely warm moisture will not only help you breathe as the hot dry air circulate around the rest of the house, you’ll also wake with that lovely lush skin.

Lotion – Moisturizers are your next line of defense. You’ll need to put on full body moisture after every shower you have in these cold months to help protect your skin from dry heat. But taking care of your face is the most important thing of all. Use a heavy cream moisturizer at night to be sure that your face is staying fully moisturized. During the day use a lighter moisturizer under make up. A heavy cream under make up can make you more prone to breakouts, so use the various products sparingly.

Lip Liner and Make Up Games

If you’ve used lip liner before, you know that the small pencil can do quite a bit for your face and make up regime. But often, the lip pencil is over or underused depending on whose using it.

Sketch with a lip pencil. Most often it is older women who play make up games with lip pencils. The pencil outlines the lips lightly and keeps lipstick from bleeding out into the fine lines around older women’s mouths. But that doesn’t mean you can’t use lip pencil in your make up games. When you do use lip pencil, don’t draw with it; sketch instead.

Make light strokes around the pink edge of your lips. The light strokes will connect and look more natural than a dark single line around the lips. Inside the lip liner, fill in your lips with a coordinating color lip gloss or lip stick. The light line you sketched should fade into the color of the lipstick making your lips look full and seamless – exactly what you wanted to do.

An added tip about lip pencils. If you have a pencil with a soft lead, you can use a bit of the red or pink on your cheeks. Smearing a bit on your cheeks makes you look healthy and ready for action.

Make Up Games and Bangs

Many of us have hairstyles that include bangs. Whether you have short bangs that fringe over the forehead or long bangs that need to be swept out of the way, you’ll need to incorporate those bangs into your make up games if you want your games to be natural.

Bangs that hit your forehead increase the amount of natural oils and grease that hit your skin. The bangs can trap some of that on your forehead making it more likely to break out. If you find this happening, adjust your make up to avoid putting any base or heavy moisturizer under your bangs. You might also sweep the bangs to the side to allow your forehead some air time to clear out some of the standing oils.

If your bangs aren’t causing problems with breakouts, and even if they are you can get them under control. Then you’ll take the next step of wearing make up to accommodate the bangs. Bangs frame your upper face including your eyes. For this reason you need to play up your eyes quite a bit with make up games. Use bold shadows and liner to make your eyes really pop under those bangs.

Make Up Games and Nail Care

While not strictly in the category of make up games, nail care falls into the realm of beauty. Often the two are considered together when you’re planning to do a makeover or get ready for a big day. Taking care of your nails in preparation for make up games is simple.

Getting enough calcium is critical for your nails. You’ll need to drink milk and eat plenty of dairy foods to keep your nails nice and strong. Milk is great to make nails stronger, but if your nails are prone to breaking, there isn’t much you can do to resolve the issue short of special products.

Use strengtheners on your nails. Using special products to keep your nails nice and strong will help keep them solid and free from breaks and cracks. Use a strengthener under your nail polish or on its own if you’re not adding color. Be sure to push your cuticles back carefully as well to protect them and keep your nail bed healthy and happy.

Make Up Games and Sleep

Sleep is one of the most important things you can do to ensure your make up games go smoothly. When you get enough sleep, you’re able to see the difference in your skin and your facial features. Sleeping poorly at night will give you circles under your eyes, puffy skin and can leave you with an almost bloated look since you didn’t sleep well enough for your body to do its job of purging various toxins and such.

Sleep also helps your skin look refreshed. Your face is your window to the world. The state of your body is often reflected in your facial features. If your face looks haggard and worn down, it’s likely your body is in the same state. If your face looks fresh and rested, you can bet your entire body is feeling the same way. Playing make up games after a night of good, solid sleep is much more fun than after a night of poor sleep.

When you play make up games after sleeping badly, you’ll be trying to hide and fix problem rather than enhancing your natural good looks. But when you play make up games on a rested face, you’re able to enhance your natural glow, line your eyes to let them sparkle and let your zest for life shine through.

Make Up Games and Water

Make up games are highly focuses on all manner of skin care and treatment. After all, there is no point to putting make up on skin that is not properly cared for. Caring for your skin can involve a large routine every night with pots and spray bottles of creams and potions, but one of the most essential elements of skin care is sorely overlooked. Water is absolutely essential to keeping your skin healthy and glowing.

Drinking pure water throughout the day helps to rid your body of all kinds of chemicals and nasty toxins. The water helps to move waste through your body and that includes on your skin. Being properly hydrated makes make up games even easier because your skin will be smoother and your expression will be brighter.

To drink enough water throughout the day, you should be focused on getting at least eight glasses of water during the day. While you can technically count other things you drink as part of your water intake, it is best to get your water straight out of the tap to be sure you’re getting enough fluoride (although not too much.) A filter on your tap can help to remove pesticides and other chemicals leaving the good stuff behind.

Make Up Games and Glitter

There is a desire among us to sparkle. Perhaps it is left from childhood when we truly did sparkle with body glitter and hair glitter as part of dress up parties. But as teens or adults, glitter should be approached with much more caution. Using glitter can be tricky as you have to walk a fine line between too much shine and just the right amount of emphasis.

Glitter is great in small doses. It is best reserved for nights and special occasions as it symbolizes something fancy and exciting happening. You wouldn’t normally wear glitter to school every day as it is a bit of over kill. Save some sparkling eye shadows or a faint glitter dusting on your cheeks for a dance or a fun night out with friends dancing.

When using glitter, opt for the shimmer factor rather than a true shine. Shimmer catches the light and makes it look as though your face is lighting up from within. Glitter, on the other hand, can be a bright shine akin to a sequined dance leotard. You don’t want light reflected off your face like a mirror – you want it to glow in a healthy, almost magical way.

The Most Essential Elements of Make Up Games

Unfortunately we all get older, but if we take care of ourselves and pay attention to how well we treat our skin, you’ll be able to feel young and look great regardless of your age. The best way to stay young is through proper skin care and make up games.

Go to bed every night with a clean face. But washing with soap is out. Start by removing your make up at the end of the day. Use a gentle cleanser to remove dirt, make up and grease from your face and use an exfoliating agent every once in a while to slough off old skin cells. Then start the real beauty routine. Use a deep moisturizer on your face at night. Moisture is what your skin needs most, but be weary of oily moisturizers that might make you break out more.

Even before you ever see a sign of wrinkles, apply a moisturizing night cream to your face and neck. Include a concentrated eye serum to reduce wrinkles around the eye and to moisturize this sensitive area. A bit of petroleum jelly can relieve dry and tired lips and heavy cream on your hands will protect that sensitive area as well.

Make Up Games and Vaseline

Petroleum jelly, or Vaseline, wouldn’t seem to have a place in your make up games, but it does, or rather it can. There are so many different chemicals in most make up and cleansers your face can react to them. The dry air and the drying effects of many lipsticks can leave your lips parched and cracked. Hands not used to the colder, drier air of winter get parched and your eyelids, the most sensitive skin on your body, seem to suffer the brunt of it.

While there are plenty of lotions that can tackle the problem of dry skin, Vaseline has been a crowd favorite for years. A thin coating of pure petroleum jelly doesn’t have much in the way of added chemicals or fragrances. It adds moisture to your cracked lips and you can even smear it on your eyelids and the entire eye area to remoisturize this tired area.

Use Vaseline sparingly, of course. When using it, a thin coat is best after a very gentle exfoliation of the area you’re trying to treat. Keeping your skin clean and moist is one of the most important aspects of beauty as you age.

Make Up Games and Liquid Eye Liner

The hardest thing to use in a make up box is liquid eye liner. It’s beautiful when it’s applied correctly, but learning to handle the tiny tube of black eye paint is tricky to say the least. To apply liquid eye liner you will need clean eyes. Start by removing all your old eye make up using a good cleanser.

Your next step will be to create a good foundation for the eyeliner. Curl your eyelashes if you’re going to do that before mascara. Before you apply any other eye make up, pull your eyelid very gently to the side to straighten out your eyelid. Don’t pull it so much that it’s in a weird shape, however.

Using very small strokes, lightly line your eye inside your lash line. Your eyeliner should be right next to your eye – not above your lashes like eye shadow. Once your eyeliner is in place, let it dry completely. A dusting of sheer powder will help hold the line in place and you can go ahead and put on the rest of your eye make up.

The Best Make Up Games

It is certainly not a secret that I love make up games. I love everything about them, but especially the way you can make such as startling difference for an individual just by using make up. In fact, the best make up games are the ones for those who need them the most.

I hate to think of anyone as less than attractive, but there are some individuals who don’t take as good care of themselves as others. And then there are those who really just don’t know better. Playing make up games with someone who is truly clueless is priceless. Help a friend learn about shaping and tweezing eyebrows. Show her how to match her skin tone with foundation and how to apply eye make up.

Then you’ll also be able to enjoy the final result. There is nothing better than a girl feeling great about herself because she know that her skin looks flawless and her true sparkle and fun is coming through her face. Make up games are powerful things, even if they seem so very simple. If you know how to use make up games well, sharing them with others can be a huge gift.

Make Up Game and School

It’s time for back to school and for many of us, this means we’ll need to freshen up our make up skills. I don’t know about you, but I spent the better part of the summer lounging about without any make up on to speak of. The idea of pulling all the cosmetics back out of the drawer is a bit daunting, but it will be done. After all, when you start a new year of school, you should always look your best – how else can you be sure you’re making the very best impression on everyone there.

When it comes time for make up games at school, I like to keep it simple. I choose a base and powder combination. Smooth it on a clean face, blend and your foundation is set. Then, I put on a bit of powder blush. If I have time, I’ll spend a few minutes applying eyeshadow in neutral shades. However, most of the time, I just use my eyelash curler and then apply mascara. I finally put on a coat of lip gloss in the flavor of the day and I’m out the door…unless I decide to do my make up for the day at school or in the parking lot.

Make Up Games and Cooler Days

One of the best things about fall is that the days get cooler and the nights get crisper. With this change in the air, it’s also time to change your make up. Make up games will help you determine your best options for colors and styles when it comes to make up. You’ll want to find colors that are suited to the season as well as your own coloring. Blues and purples are out until next summer. In come peaches, oranges and taupe.

Fall is deep into earth tones. If you have olive based skin, this is great news. For those who have pink undertones, look for earth tones in shades of red and pink instead of orange and brown. When it’s all said and done, you should be able to find a nice base, powder, and mascara for all seasons. Change your blush to a bit of a deeper tone and use your eye shadow and lipstick to truly make a difference in your appearance as the seasons change. Richer textures and darker colors will help bring in autumn.

Learning Make Up Games at School

I think it is purely awesome that make up games are being taught at school. And I don’t mean your best friend is showing you her latest eyelash trick at lunch. There are actually classes at school dedicated to learning makeup games and most especially hair games. Personally, I’m a big fan.

Cosmetology and Make Up Games
Unlike make up games you play at home, school cosmetology classes start at the basics and build. These classes go far beyond applying make up. They teach you how the basics of the skin, the layers and the proper treatment of the skin and then the best ways to apply make up. Once you know the proper application and, more importantly, the health aspects of make up games you can go on to learn about other things.

Make Up Games for a Living
It is quite possible to play make up games for a living once you’ve learned the proper techniques and have the right certification. Cosmetology programs teach you make up, skin care and hair care procedures. They also give you the knowledge you need to take the necessary certification tests and become a licensed cosmetologist. Certainly not a bad finish to a high school or junior college course.

Make Up Games and Zits

It will happen to everyone. One morning you’ll wake up and find yourself covered with zits or, more likely facing a single red dot on your chin, nose or forehead. Battling zits can make make-up games much less fun to enjoy and can even make it hard to play those make up games if the zit is painful enough.

Never Pop Zits
Some zits remain as a red dot or even the same color as your skin. Others have raised centers full of white puss. It is extremely tempting to pop a zit, especially once a head is visible. The red and white zip seems to be screaming for intervention, but stop yourself if you can. Popping zits and pimples for that matter is not a good idea. When you pop the zit, you could force some of the gunk back into your pores or introduce new dirt and bacteria through your fingers. These gross things can actually inflame and even infect the zit. In short it will look worse after popping it than it did previously.

Cover Them or Let Them Heal
This leaves you with two choices. If you can’t pop a zit, what do you do with them? You can conceal the zit or you can leave it open to the air to “breathe.” Covering a zit is easy enough. Concealer will leave a dot of color on top of the zit. Blend it into your foundation and dust with powder and your zit is covered.

The other option is to let the zit breathe. Once your zit has a head or is open and seems to have an exposed pore, it would be far better to let the zit sit uncovered so that it can heal properly. Putting make up over an open sore, which is similar to what a popped or raw zit would be, is asking for an infection or another outbreak. Remember, zits can be caused by make up trapped in the pores. Don’t encourage more zits by forcing goo and gunk down into an already inflamed pore.

Make Up Games and Autumn

As the fall season rolls around, cooler temperatures and darker clothing will become the norm. Making changes to your autumn wardrobe is not enough. You need to plan ahead by changing your make up games as well.

Autumn make up is usually defined by earth tones and bold color choices. Wearing make up in the autumn usually means you don’t have to worry as much about sweating the make up off as you do in the summertime and you’ll also need to consider cooler weather and how to apply your make up.

When the cooler weather comes, many people experience drier skin thanks to heaters and lower humidity, so be sure to apply heavy moisturizers before bed (after cleaning your face) and a light-weight moisturizer in the morning before putting on your makeup.

Keeping your skin moist will allow your make up to sit correctly without getting a dry, caked look. Make up on dry, irritated skin can also cause rashes, so pay close attention to the state of your skin each morning. You might need to opt out of powder and base if your skin is irritated.

Make Up Games and the Sun

Playing make up games is not just to create a beautiful look. You play make up games to make yourself first appear older, but then to appear a bit younger than you really are. It is the sun, however, that does the most to ruin this image of youth. The sun can cause all kinds of damage to your skin over time. Any exposure to the sun without sunscreen can have bad results that don’t show up for years.

Freckles and Sun Spots – Freckles show up in your youth thanks to sun exposure. Sun spots begin to show up as you age. These are larger than freckles but are usually the same color. You might find them on your arms, legs, face, neck and hands. These small spots are one of the truest indications of age.

Wrinkles – Gravity and the sun work together to create wrinkles on your face and neck. First small lines appear around your mouth. Then the wrinkles deepen a bit to become lines around your nose, mouth and on your forehead. The deepness and severity of wrinkles has a lot to do with your age as well as how much sun exposure you had in your youth. Protecting your skin on your face, hands, and neck will do the most to keep you looking youthful as you age.

Make Up Games – 3 Ways to Give Your Lips Color

Lips need a bit of color to make your face look lush and healthy. However, not everyone is the same when it comes to the style of lip product they enjoy using. Make up games can accommodate any product, of course.

Lipstick – the oldest and still most popular item for lips, the basic lipstick has changed into different forms with glitter, shimmer, stay-put, super shine and every other variety under the sun. Lipstick is usually a full color put on over the lips. It fades over time and needs to be reapplied to have the same color on your lips consistently.

Lip gloss – a smoother, lighter alternative to lipstick, lip gloss is more youthful with fun flavors and scents to it as well as lighter colors. Lip gloss gives you shine and a hint of color to your lips without going overboard.

Chapstick and Vaseline – While not much for color, you can find Vaseline and chapstick in tinted varieties. Wearing lip products such as these lets your natural lip color shine through and gives you a nice layer of protection against most of the elements.

Make Up Games – Eyebrows

Giving your eyebrows a clearly defined shape is one of the best things you can do to open up your face and give you a more groomed appearance in make up games. Working with your eyebrows can be tricky, however, Before you start plucking willy-nilly, you might have a consultation with a eyebrow specialist at a salon. Find someone who really knows what she is doing and let her shape your eyebrows for you.

Once you have a basic shape to your eyebrows, keeping them trimmed up is simple enough. You can pluck the strays as they come in using a pair of tweezers. You can also just make another appointment with the specialist to have her wax or tweeze your eyebrows again. Doing it yourself is less expensive, but it does have the inherent risk of tweezing a bit too much.

Be careful with your newly shaped eyebrows. If your eyebrows tend to get bush, they might still look that way even after having them shaped. Small scissors or a tiny groomer can help take off the extra length. When you are considering waxing, don’t forget to wax the areas around the eye as well to reduce dark hairs that spring up there as well.

Make Up Games and Your Eyes

Playing make up games at home allows you to experiment with your eyes and gives you a chance to see what combinations of eye shadow, mascara and liner look good with your coloring and style. Playing makeup games at home is one thing, but when you go out during the day, you should understand what is considered an acceptable amount of make up.

Eye Shadow – Eye shadow is fine any time of the day, but when you apply it during daylight hours your shadow should be light and neutral. Save the dark, smoky eyes and shimmering shades of metallic colors for evenings.

Eye Liner – A light brown or gray eyeliner is find during the day. Bold black lines should be saved for evenings, however. This is especially true if you’re using a liquid liner that makes a tremendously bold impact.

Lashes – Finally, fake lashes and tips are great fun to wear, but generally considered best for special occasions or for the evening. Not many people wear fake eye lashes to math class.

Make Up Games and Moisturizers

The most important part of your daily routine is using moisturizer after a good cleansing. Cleaning your face regularly is critical to the health of your skin, especially the hardworking skin on your face. Use a cleanser designed especially for faces. Look for one that is sensitive if you have sensitive skin or a heavier cleanser if you’re dealing with acne or oily skin.

Then, once your skin is clean and clear, use a non-greasy moisturizer every day. The moisture in the lotion you’re using will help your skin stay hydrated and fresh. Moisture and blocking the damaging effects of the sun are the most critical things you can do to keep your appearance youthful.

You can even go a step further than moisturizer. If you’re using moisturizer in the morning after washing your face, you should also wash your face in the evenings. When you apply moisturizer in the evenings, skip your normal daily moisturizer and opt for a night cream instead. Night creams are a richer cream that can absorb deeply into the face giving you a dewy, fresh appearance when you wake up.

The Characteristics of Make Up Games

Make up games are one of the more popular forms of girl games online. Playing make up games is a great way to use your time online and to discover more than a few things about your personal make up style. Make up games often include putting various layers of make up on a doll face. But some versions allow you to put make up on your own face once you’ve imported your picture to the game system.

Make up games are educational. When you play make up games, you’re able to learn a great deal about how to apply various kinds of make up and to truly understand what a difference make up can make in your appearance. Granted, playing make up games too much might make you not as appreciative of natural beauty, but when you start with a beautiful fresh face, adding make up in certain degrees will only bring that beauty to center stage.

Make up games encourage creativity and exploration. As much as you might play with make up in your own bedroom, you simply can’t experiment at home as well as you can with make up games. With make up games you’re able to see instant results from adding a bit of blush or trying on a different kind of mascara. Make up games encourage you to try new things, to take away things you might take for granted and to explore the power of cosmetics.

Make Up Games and School

When you’re spending time at home this summer, gearing up for another school year, consider spending some of that precious downtime playing make up games. Make up games are a great way to practice your new make up look and to learn what is hot with various styles of make up. After all, nobody wants to head back to school without knowing the best make up looks.

Play Make Up Games Online
Before you rush off to buy new make up, spend some time playing make up games online. Read quite a bit on the various forums and websites dedicated to make up games and learn about various techniques and styles you can use to make it fun trying on new make up items. The more you play make up games online, the more likely you are to find the best shades of make up for your skin tone and age.

Practice Make Up Games
After you’ve learned quite a bit about make up games, you’ll need to practice your new skills. You have a few ways of doing this. You can work with the make up you already have using new techniques. You might also supplement your make up kit with a few new items, but make up can be expensive to buy. You might find yourself better of waiting and playing make up games with a friend who can share her make up with you.

Make Up Games and Preventing Breakouts

Acne and breakouts are a very big considering when playing make up games. If you plan on wearing even the lightest layer of make up, you’ll need to consider your skin’s condition and the reaction you can expect from covering your broken out skin in additional products.

Avoid oily make up when buying items for make up games. As a teen, your skin is already oily, and oily products will simply cause break outs. Look for products with sensitive skin labels or even ones that help to fight outbreaks.

Wash your face as soon as possible after wearing make up. The longer you leave make up on your face, the more likely it is to block your pores and trap dirt inside them. It is trapped toxins inside pores that cause many breakouts. Make it a point to wash your face every night and to use a make up remover around your eyes to be sure everything is removed completely.

Be weary of the cheap stuff. All make up is certainly not created equally. If you’re strapped for cash, it is far better to buy one great item than cheap make up that is more likely to cause a reaction.

Make Up Games and Eyelashes

When you’re playing make up games, there are several things you can do to bring your eyelashes into terrific focus. Working with eyelashes is tricky at times, but always rewarding.

Curling eyelashes – One of the easiest things you can do for your eyelashes is to curl them. Curling your lashes makes them stand out more and helps them appear longer, even before you apply mascara. To curl eyelashes, use one of the space-age style gizmos, and try your best to curl from the root of the lashes without pinching your eye.

Mascara – Learn to use mascara well and your eyelashes will also be prominent. A dark brown or black mascara will help to set off your eyes beautifully. If you’re going to be around water, strongly consider waterproof mascara to be sure those dark lashes stay put.

Fake Eyelashes – Finally, fake eyelashes might be exactly what you need to really create the look you’re after. Fake eyelashes are bold, but can be tricky to apply. Read the instructions carefully and look for instructional videos online before you try it yourself.

Make Up Games and Your Friends

As much as possible, play make up games with your friends. This will let you bond together as buddies, but at the same time, you’ll also have someone around to help you put the make up on and give you honest opinions about how it looks. When you have friends to help with make up games, you’re doing one of the most basic girly things out there – putting make up on together.

Everyone brings their make up kits and then starts putting make up on. Put on a lot or a little. Use fashion magazines to learn new tricks to putting on eyeliner and such. Get all glammed up to go nowhere, or even better, meet before a big event. If the big dance is coming up, why not have all of your friends come over together.

You can put on make up together and help each other get dressed. Have some snacks and drinks and play your music entirely too loud. This sort of thing is often even more fun than the event you’re trying to get to, and the best part of all is when dates arrive downstairs ready to take you away for something magical and fun.

Make Up Games and Hot Weather

When the weather’s hot, you need to take special considerations with your make up games. Make up games in the milder seasons are simple enough, but when the sun is high and the days are hot, you’re going to be dealing with two things – sun exposure and sweat.

When you get too much sun, you obviously run the risk of skin damage. But more immediately, if your skin is growing darker on your face thanks to a tan, your make up is still the same color. That means you’ll start to look a bit peaked with light makeup over a dark face. Avoid this by not wearing foundation or powder in the summer or buy them in a darker shade.

Sweat is a serious problem for make up games. When you sweat in the summer, even a little bit, you’ll likely be sweating off your makeup. In some cases, your make up can literally melt off. Look for make up that is waterproof or use powder often to try and soak up sweat and set the rest of your make up to keep your look in place.

Make Up Games and Breakouts

If you’ve been playing make up games with friends or just on your own at home, you hopefully haven’t experienced any break out from the games. Most people do just fine with any sort of make up, even the cheap versions, but others have a hard time using certain products.

Rashes – if your face has broken out into a rash, it likely means that you have an allergy or sensitivity to something in the make up. There are make ups made specifically for sensitive skin types and you might try those instead. Avoid make ups that are heavy and contain a lot of oil and fragrances. Look for make up games that are fragrance free, for sensitive skin. Your selection will be smaller in many brands, but there are actually entire brands that feature this sort of make up, so look for natural brands to see what items might work for you.

Acne – if you seem to be breaking out with acne after wearing make up, you might have any number of problems. The make up you’re using might be oily. If you’re using a make up that doesn’t say “oil free” you’re basically helping your skin get oiler. Oil gets into pores and sticks there making acne. Why would they manufacture make up that’s oily? Because as you age your skin dries out and you need more oil on it. Right now you most likely need less.

Waterproof Make Up Games

When you play make up games in the summer, you should make it a point to try and use as much water proof make up as possible. The reason is simple. In the summer, there is a lot of moisture that reaches your skin. Unfortunately it’s not all sea mist breezing in as we stroll romantically down the beach. In most cases, that moisture getting under your make up is sweat, pure and simple.

It’s depressing to think that you can spend thirty minutes creating a terrifically natural face of make up only to walk across a parking lot and have it all melt off again. The obvious solution is to put on the kind of make up that doesn’t melt off. And that would be waterproof makeup.

When you use water proof makeup, you will need to remember that it might feel a bit different on your face. This is because the consistency is different to accommodate the waterproof feature. It might feel tighter or like a mask. If you have a hard time wearing that sort of waterproof make up, simply try another brand. Often, the more expensive brands are more comfortable to wear.

Why I Love Make Up Games

Make up games are especially fun around my household. Not only do I have a rather astounding collection of play make up, I also have plenty of friends who like to play make up games with me. When we get together to play make up games, we always pool our various make up kits so we can see what all we have to work with.

Once we’re sure of the raw ingredients we have at our disposal, we’ll flip through various fashion magazines looking for some really outrageous makeup looks. I like the ones that include eyes full of eye shadow with glitter and gold. My friends have their own preferences, of course.

Once we have an idea in mind of what we’re going to be creating, we get started. The best make up games include everyone laughing and having a lot of fun. We want everyone to be excited about their look, so we’re careful to do the make up properly. If we have time and the resources, we’ll also grab a bunch of clothes and pull together a look transforming our make up games into a full makeover game.

Make Up Games and Skin Problems

As much fun as make up games can be, there are certain skin problems that can stem from playing them. Make up games are a great way to try different looks and learn to use cosmetics, but when you play make up games incorrectly or use the wrong products, you can be struck with various skin problems.

Clogged Pore – Your skin has fine pore which normally release toxins and other gross stuff from your skin. But when you put on make up and leave it on too long, you’re risking a block to one of your pores. If you wind up with a clogged pore, you’re likely to see something as lovely as a zit or pimple. Be sure to wash your face very well after wearing make up and never sleep in it as it can be damaging to your skin.

Rashes – Another common complaint from make up games are rashes. If you use a product that does not agree with you, your sensitive skin can certainly complain loudly. Beware of products that use heavy oils or fragrances. Everyone’s skin is different, but if your skin seems especially sensitive, stick to products that are designed for that sort of thing.

Make Up Games and the Summer

The summer is a fun time to play make up games, although it’s not the most popular time. Girls who spend a great deal of time outside during the summer aren’t as interested in putting on make up only to sweat it off again, so you can wager that most make up will be applied on days that you’re working inside or for evenings out with friends.

When you wear make up in the summer, opt for lighter coverage and avoid anything that looks or feels heavy. Light shimmering shades are pretty for summer while smoky eyes and heavy use of liner isn’t as attractive. Save those looks for the winter when you can pull off darker make up.

Your eyes will likely see the most make up, but don’t be afraid to keep it truly simple with a bit of eyeshadow or just mascara. There is little need for eyeliner in the summer as it might run a bit if it gets warm. Also always choose waterproof mascara just in case you find yourself at the beach at sunset and want to splash or swim.

Make Up Games: Sunburn Tips

When you get a sunburn, you really don’t want to put anything on your skin and I don’t blame you. However, a sunburn is damage to your skin and your makeup skills and knowledge will get called into play to try and cool it off, keep it from peeling and then hiding it as much as possible.

Of course you should always wear sunscreen, but if something went wrong out there and you wind up burned, take a cool shower immediately and then smoothe on aloe vera. Once the aloe vera lotion dries on your skin, pull on old, loose clothing. This is the time to relax and avoid clothing that rubs and that will agitate the sunburn more. A lose cami, or a shirt with a built it shelf bra is a nice choice for lounging about the house, but avoid straps and fasteners directly on top of the sunburn.

Before you go to bed, smear on a large amount of lotion and then put more on every few hours to try and keep the skin moisturized. A bad sunburn will peel regardless, but some sunburns will simply fade without peeling if you keep the skin moisturized. Choose a lotion without fragrance or special added properties. You can expect aloe vera to cool the burning, but lotion might trap the heat a bit and you’ll feel hotter. But as the sunburn cools on its own, your skin will be smoother and hopefully intact over the affected area.

Fixing Problems with Make Up Games

If there are problems with make up games, there are also solutions. Learning to handle the problems often isn’t enough if you’re looking to make a difference in the long-term. Fixing make up game problems can actually be a lot of fun.

Make up games can cause a lot of messes, especially when you play with a lot of people. But rather than limit yourself while you play, clean as you go. Grab a roll of spray and paper towels. If you spill something, wipe it up. If you have trash to throw away, don’t hesitate – chunk it in the trash.

Make up games cost a lot. If you’re worried about how much money you spend on make up games, and who wouldn’t be with the cost of make up, start by spreading the cost. Take friends with you and everyone buy a new item. Then you can share the items. If you’re on your own, look for sales or the less expensive brands.

Make up games aren’t popular. Actually make up games are popular around the world. If your friends don’t know about the games, let them know and show them what the games can do.

Problems with Make Up Games

Even with the things I love the most, there are problems at times. Make up games are no exception. Playing make up games with friends or online is fraught with potential problems. Learning to deal with those problems is simply par for the course.

Make up games are messy. Make up can be very messy, especially when you’re playing around and learning new things. The more make up techniques you try, the messier your results will wind up being. Of course your face might look great, but you’ll have to deal with the spilled powder, dirty sponges and general mess that make up creates.

Make up games get pricey. Make up games aren’t cheap, and having make up for make up games often means you’ll still need a new color or the latest and greatest of something that’s just come out. Make up game can be expensive, even the cheapest kinds, so don’t be surprised if your game costs your full allowance.

Make up games aren’t popular enough. It’s a personal opinion, but I find that online make up games simply aren’t popular enough. I want more of my friends to play so that I can have someone to chat with about it.

Make Up Games and Chapstick

Chapstick is an underappreciated item in your make up drawer. Chapstick is an item you can and should wear every day, and the more often you wear chapstick, the better protected your lips will be from the elements.

Chapstick is designed for cold weather situations where your lips can be dried out. The chapstick helps protect the lips from cold weather, wind and even sun if you buy the proper kind. These many different functions of a single chapstick make it easily the most versatile item in your cabinet.

In the winter, chapstick should be on your lips almost every minute. The inside of your home can be even drier than the outside thanks to the heater constantly running. When you wake up, put on some chapstick. When you go outside, put on chapstick. When you get home, apply chapstick and when you go to bed, apply some chapstick.

Apply chapstick at night will help your lips stay moist at night. Exfoliate your lips after your shower or after washing your face and then apply chapstick. You’ll have fresh, beautiful lips every morning that look great on their own or smooth under lip gloss.

Make Up Games and Mascara

Mascara is a misunderstood make up item. Many people use mascara, but they fail to realize how it should be applied and which color they should be choosing. Black mascara is not right for everyone, and when you apply mascara, you don’t need to apply it to every lash.

Pick the Right Mascara Color
Your first goal is to find the right color of mascara to wear. If you have fair lashes or even medium lashes, skip the black mascara. Opt for a brown mascara instead. The goal is to make your eyelashes show up a bit darker and to frame your eyes. If your lashes are light, the black mascara is too dark and will look unnatural around lighter eyes.

Apply Mascara to the Top Lashes
Apply the mascara to the top lashes starting at the base of the eye and pulling the wand up and out toward the tips. Be sure to get the entire tip. Wiggle the brush just a bit as you pull it through to break up any clumps.

Apply Mascara to the Bottom Lashes
When you apply mascara to your bottom lashes, apply it only to the outside lashes on the bottom. The lashes near the outside corner of the eye will make the eye look larger. Mascara under the entire eye will drag it down and make your eye look smaller.

Make Up Games: Essential Make Up

I love make up games, but I’ve also been known to walk out of the house without any make up and without any cares in the world. Having make up on is not a criteria for beauty as there is so much natural beauty in every woman’s face. However the right make up items can certainly enhance a woman’s beauty.

Mascara – Mascara is a nice start to any make up addition. Mascara makes your eyelashes darker and helps your eyes really pop out of your face – visually, not literally.

Lotion with Sunscreen – Facial lotion with sunscreen is an absolute essential even if you don’t wear any other make up. Wearing lotion will help your skin stay hydrated and fresh. The sunscreen inside the lotion requires no additional thought and protects you skin from the damaging rays of the sun.

Lip Gloss – Lip gloss is lighter than lipstick and comes in a huge vareity of colors and textures. The lip gloss makes your lip a bit shiny which helps them appear fuller and more luxurious.

Make Up Games and Sunscreen

Sunscreen is a critical part of any make up game. Make up games simply don’t work the same way without good use of sunscreen. Sunscreen does more than protect your skin from cancer. It does a great many things both in the short and long term.

Sunscreen keeps your skin smooth. The sun is responsible for much of the damage we suffer as we age. The drying and wrinkling of skin is partially created by overexposure to the sun’s dangerous rays.

Sunscreen reduces brown spots. Sun spots, or brown spots that show up on your face, hands and arms are caused by sun exposure. Protecting your skin early helps to prevent those sunspots later in life, and you’ll be very glad you smeared it on.

Sunscreen is brainless. You likely already put on moisturizer every day, so putting on moisturizer with sunscreen is not a big deal at all. It’s already take care of when you smooth on your lotion. The lotion will keep your skin moist and smooth and the sunscreen will help to be sure it stays that way.

Make Up Games and Your Lips

Lips are very much a part of make up games. When you go to put on make up, often the make up looks unfinished without a nice coating of lipstick or gloss. Finding the best lip covering is up to your overall look and the style of lip covering that you feel most comfortable with.

Lip Gloss – Lip gloss is a light covering that can be glossy and can, on occasion be sticky or gloopy if you use too much or use the wrong brand. Lip gloss looks great alone or with make up. Choose a pink or peach color to make your lips look great even without make up.

Lip Stick – A traditional lipstick is available in a huge range of colors, and the number of colors can make it hard to find the best one. Match your lipstick shade to your skin tones and the rest of your make up. If you wear oranges and browns, make sure your lipstick is in the same family of colors. If you use pinks and blues, your lipstick should be similar.

Lip Pencils – One option is to use a lip pencil to get some color on your lips without using a gloss or lipstick. The lip pencil might be a liner that is normally used just on the outside of the lips, or it can be a larger pencil that colors in the rest of your lips as well. Lip pencils tend to stay on well and not kiss off as easily as lipsticks or pencils.

Make Up Games: Getting Base Colors Right

When you play with make up, one of the hardest elements to handle is your base, or the foundation. It can be purchased in many formats.

Liquid foundation is the original form of foundation that is often still used by many by many women in older generations.

Powder foundation is a very light form of coverage that is not especially concealing, but it great for younger individuals with smooth skin.

Cream foundations are found in a stick or tube and are blended onto the face. Cream foundations can also be found in packets to be applied with a sponge much like a powder compact.

When selecting a base, you should try to match your skin color as exactly as possible. Start by figuring out if your skin has warm or cool tones. If you look good in blues and bright reds, you have cool skin. If you are able to wear colors such as orange and brown well, you have warm skin tones.

Pick a foundation that has a blue undertone or a red one and then find the foundation that is right for your skin by holding it up to the back of your hand. If possible, test the foundation on the back of your hand to see how well it blends. The back of your hand has roughly the same amount of sun exposure as your face making it a good place to test.
