Make Up Games and Wrinkles

There will come a time for all of us that our make up games take a hitch. For me this occurred the day I looked into the mirror for the first time and discovered that my face is not as smooth as it once was. In fact it didn’t look smooth at all. I had lines in places I’d never had lines before. I have a few wrinkles and marks at the corners of my eyes and in the middle of my forehead. While it wasn’t enough to make me want to run out and get botox, it was enough to make me think about my current make up games.

I’ve decided that I need to revamp my make up games to accommodate my new skin type. Make up games should project your beauty, and to do this I plan to celebrate my wrinkles as much as possible while preventing more from appearing before their time. Wrinkles are a sign of wisdom and maturity and I’ve got both in spades – or so I tell myself. For my new make up games, I’m going to focus more on playing up my great features and playing down any more unsightly things that come along.

Make Up Games and Winter

As the weather cools down, it’s important to tailor your make up games to the changing weather. Make up games are fun in any weather, but make up games in the winter months are especially nice because you can get away with wearing more make up without looking out of place or over done. The colder winter months mean we’re wearing more on our bodies and on our face making this the best time to actually start playing make up games.

Winter make up games should always start with a layer of lotion to help protect the face from the cold weather and the biting wind. You don’t want dry and chapped skin, so protect your skin as best you can with lotions during the day and heavy creams at night. Your make up should be moisturizing as well to be sure that it doesn’t suck moisture away from your skin, but we wary of oily products if your skin tries to break out at the slightly provocation.

Make Up Games and Changing Routines

I need to change my routine. Right now I wash my face at night, but I think I need to change my soap or change my habits because I’m noticing a lot more acne than I used to have. This might be due to my current make up games, or it might be something that is just a phase I’m going through. I think I’ll start my make up games shake-up by buying a new soap –one that is more deep cleansing and then the accompanying moisturizer.

Once my skin seems to be clearing up, I’ll opt for more make up games that include the natural make up items rather than ones that are questionable with oils, dyes and chemicals. I’m even willing to forgo make up for a while if it helps my skin clear up. I don’t like to wake up with zits – especially since the teen years are well behind me now. Make up games should be enhancing my skin, not causing more break outs.

Make Up Games and Men

I’ve noticed lately, as the media has as well, that more men are playing make up games. The make up games men are playing a bit different than the ones we like, but they are still definitely working within the realm of cosmetics. Young and older men are all starting to sport concealer and powder. They are using toner and bronzer and blush. The men are wearing eyeliner and eye shadow in an effort to look more polished and attractive.

These make up games make sense for men in the spotlight – you need stage make up, after all, but the make up has moved off the stage into the every day and I’m not sure how I feel about that. I love that men feel comfortable enough to wear make up when they want to without worrying about social censorship or opinion, but I guess I’m just old fashioned enough to like to keep make up games for girls only.
