Create an Evening Look

Evening make up is more complicated than the fresh day-time look we wear so easily. To create an evening look, you’ll need:
  • Face lotion
  • Foundation
  • Powder and Brush
  • Blush and Brush
  • Highlighter
  • Lipstick
  • Mascara
  • Eyeliner Pencil
  • Eye Shadow
Start by washing your face and applying lotion. Then carefully smooth on the foundation. Dust your face lightly with power to set the foundation and you’re ready to begin. Sweep a covering of blush up the apples of your cheeks. Make a fish face to find the best indentions to use. You can be a bit liberal with blush so long as you don’t look like a clown when you’re through.

Move on to the eyes. Apply a bit of highlighter to the inside of each eye and along the bottom eyelashes. Apply a light eyeshadow on the top lid and then the darker shade along the crease of the eyelid. Extend the dark shadow up and out a bit to elongate the eye and then use a brush to blend. Put a dark line of eyeliner along your lashes – in the lashes not on top of them. Finally, apply two coats of mascara to bottom and top lashes.

Your last step is lipstick. I like bold colors for nights, but be sure you invest in the kind that doesn’t kiss off – you might kiss someone, but most likely you’ll just want to avoid getting lipstick on your teeth and cup.
