Make Up Games – Eyeliner

Eyeliner is easily the most abused make up games item. Eye liner has very limited uses, yet it shows up everywhere, and with too much applied in most cases.

Using Eyeliner Correctly
To use eyeliner correctly, you should be putting it on only for a nighttime event, and usually a special occasion at that. Unless you’re using a eye pencil for a light color around your eyes during the day, eyeliner has no business being on during the daytime.

Eyeliner should also not be used to circle the eye. When you do that, you wind up with eyes that closely resemble a raccoon. Instead of circling your eyes in black or brown, apply the liner into the lashline in small strokes along the top of the eye and in the bottom outside corner of the eye. This makes the top of the eye stand out and the corner is enough to widen your eyes and make the bottom appear larger.

Common Eyeliner Mistakes
In addition to putting the eyeliner around the whole eye, many people make the additional mistake of using a color that is too dark. You don’t have to use black eyeliner, and in fact, very few girls can get away with black eyeliner. Try a lighter brown or taupe for a more natural smoky eye.
