Make Up Games: Autumn Tones

It’s officially fall and very quickly moving toward winter. Fortunately, the more somber tones of autumn are perfect for all winter months. When you go to apply make up in the fall, you should choose shades that are suited for the season and the kinds of clothes you’re likely wearing. Shimmer and shine is great for the summer when you’re racing on the beach and playing outdoors. But the fall is more about football games and Homecoming dances and your make-up should make the switch, too.

Use Creamy Earth Tones
The best bet for autumn colors is a set of creamy earth tones. Every skin type looks great in earth tones, you just have to decide which tones are right for you. Very pale skin looks great with jewel tones of greens and blues. Deeper olive tones call for browns, orange, reds and grey blues. Dark skin can use reds and purples to make a rich look for fall.

Use a strong moisturizer as there is less moisture in the air. Then apply a light foundation to even out your skin tone. Dust on powder and apply blush to help give your face life under your hood and hats. Rich tones on your eyes and lips will complete the look and don’t forget a thick coat of mascara as well.
