Dealing with Raccoon Eyes

Raccoon eyes, or sometimes Owl Eyes, are the dark rings you get around your eyes every time you sleep in your make up or start to get a bit teary in a good movie. The mascara and eyeliner seeps away from the careful application and into the soft skin under the eye. The end result is two black eyes that you wouldn’t want the world to see.

Remove the Make Up
To get rid of raccoon eyes, you must first remove the make up. Since your eyes are the most delicate part of your face, use an eye make up remover to carefully lift away the old make up and residue from the fine skin under the eye. Never scrub at this skin.

Cleanse the Area
Make up remover, even those targeted for eyes, might not be enough to actually cleanse the skin – it depends on the remover. Use a gentle face wash to clean your face well, including the under eye area. Sleeping in make up is one of the worst choices you can make for you skin so make it up to your face by taking care of it now.

Moisturize
Finally, all that cleansing will sap the moisture from your eye area. After cleaning your face, use an all over moisturizer. Then, use a special eye cream designed to give your eyes deep moisture. This is your apology for making your eyes suffer with the black circles in the first place.
