How Make Up Games Help You

It’s tough to ask, but when you don’t have a clue how to put on make-up, you have a few places to turn. You can ask your friends to show you, you can do some trial and error, or you can learn via make up games.

Friendly Application
When your friends help you learn to use make-up, you’re counting on your friends actually knowing what they are doing. If you trust them, but they are only figuring it out themselves, you might end up looking more like a clown than a fashion model.

Trial and Error
You’re going to have to practice with make up at some point to be sure you’re getting it applied correctly. Of course, it’s much easier to practice and try on different kinds of make up after you know what you’re doing – otherwise you might as well be finger painting with all those tubes and jars.

Learning from Make Up Games
Make up games can show you exactly how to put on make up and even let you practice on models online before trying it at home with real cosmetics. This lets you learn in secret and gives you the chance to suddenly become the make up expert around your circle of friends without ever giving your secret away.

Common Mistakes with Make Up Games

Make up games are fun, but they can be tricky at times. There are more than a few mistakes that can be made, and unfortunately, most mistakes are pretty easy to see since they are written all over your face!

Your base and power don’t match. Your base and powder should blend into your skin tone. If they don’t, you’ll look a bit orange or ashy and you’ll be able to see the line on your skin very easily. Get help from a make up consultant at a counter to get a good base or bring a friend and test each color on the back of your hand to find a good match.

Your concealer is too light. Your concealer should be one shade lighter than your foundation. If it’s too light, you’ll get a reverse raccoon effect – i.e. your under eye area will be lighter than everything else on your face.

Your eye makeup is too heavy. Eyes are easy to play up, but when you play them up during the day, you run the risk of looking like you’re heading to a night club instead of math class. Keep it light and airy. You can save the smoky lids for evenings or fun makeover parities.

Make Up Games: The Make Up Artist

For many out there, make up games on the computer are just the beginning of your life long dream to become a make up artist. If you have a desire to become a make up artist for the stars or perhaps on Broadway some day, you need only e your goal high and research what it will take to reach it.

For example, if you want to do make up in Hollywood, more than anything else you’ll need some experience, some credentials and you might need to know someone to help you get your foot in the door. Gaining credentials requires taking classes in a local cosmetology school or in a theatre program associated with make up artistry.

Early experience comes even more easily when you use make up games online to learn some tricks of the trade and then begin to experiment with colors and textures of make up on your willing friends. Soon you’ll have much of your make up figured out and be ready to take on the world of fashion, acting and the make up each requires.

A Tale of Two Eyebrows

Every girl should have two neatly trimmed eyebrows. If you look in the mirror and see only one eyebrow, you’re in need of a trim. Likewise, if your eyebrows seem to be two inchworms crawling across your head, some tweezers might do you some good.

Creating Eyebrows
If you’ve never had your eyebrows waxed or plucked, you should seek out the help of a professional. Your friend might be great with the tweezers, but when it’s something as important as your face, you don’t want to turn her loose to make your forehead accidentally bald.

Locate a professional waxer in a local beauty center or salon. You can find a make-up artist or other make-up professional to pluck your eyebrows rather than waxing, but the wax creates a cleaner look with far less time involved. Make an appointment and spend some time looking at pictures of eyebrows you like.

Then, the waxing pro will talk to you about how you want your eyebrows shaped. Eyebrows should follow the natural shape of the brow, while creating a gently slope. There are many variations on eyebrow shapes, so be sure to discuss your particular eyebrow preferences with the beautician before she applies the wax.

Taking Advantage of Make Up Games

Make up games are a great way to enjoy yourself online and off. The skills you learn in make up games can help you in your everyday life as well. Many girls lament over the fact that they don’t have their own make up artists or teachers to help them learn the best ways to apply make up, but when you consider all that make up games have to offer, you’ll soon realize that you can easily take advantage of all they can teach you.

Learn the Basics

Make up games are a great way to learn the basics of make up application. Just by watching some of the brush strokes used in the more realistic games can help you figure out how to stroke on powder and blush. You can also learn what the different make up elements are – base, powder, concealer, blush, eyeliner, eye shadow, lipstick and mascara.

Learning to Use Make Up
Learning to use those items on your own face is a slightly different matter but make up games let you experiment online before you begin experimenting on your own face. The more make up games you play, the easier it is to apply your own make up correctly.

Learning New Skills
Once you have the basics down and you know how to use all of your products, your next step will be to learn new skills and techniques as they are developed. This especially is what makes make up games so much fun.

Blush!

If there was a magical tool in your make-up kit, it would probably be concealer. Concealer is about the most magical thing you can find when you wake up in the morning with a big red spot on your nose, but concealer isn’t the only make-up games miracle. In second place, blush can give you a natural glow that makes you look youthful and full of energy – even when you’re not.

Think about what happens when you go outside to play. Your face gets a bit flushes and your cheeks turn pink. Whether it’s summer or winter, the glow of good health can easily be found simply by taking a walk or playing outside for a bit. Now, it can be applied with a bit of powder and a make-up brush.

To apply blush, you should first find a color that suits your skin tone – you want a pink or peach tone that appears natural with your overall complexion. Once you have your tone picked out, you’ll need to decide if you prefer a loose powder blush or a packed powder. You can also use a cream blush that you would simply smooth on with your fingertips.

When you’ve been playing make up games, you probably looking your best when you get through. When you look your best, whether or not others notice, you’ll feel great about yourself. Not only will you walk a bit taller, but you’ll also have a mind that is content and satisfied with a very critical element of your well being.

When Make Up Games Go Wrong

It happens. Sometimes your best intentions go awry, and instead of painting on beautiful lash lines, you’ve turned yourself into Cleopatra complete with thick black sweeps of eye makeup. When you goof with make up games, however, there is little chance of a permanent problem. Most make up games are easy to fix and even easier to get right the next time.
Troubleshoot
If you look at your face or the face of your best friend after a make up game and realize that you’ve actually created apples on their apples of their cheeks, you’ll want to do a bit of a touch up on the blush. To do this, you can simply brush off some of the blush with your hands before applying more powder to the area and trying again.

If you have a small problem with out of control eyeliner or mascara, a wet tissue might be all you need to clean it up and give you an opportunity to fix the problem.

Restart
Sometimes, however, you just need a restart. When something major goes wrong or you don’t like the way things are turning out, wash your face to remove all the old make up and try again with a freshly cleaned slate.
