Common Mistakes with Make Up Games

Make up games are fun, but they can be tricky at times. There are more than a few mistakes that can be made, and unfortunately, most mistakes are pretty easy to see since they are written all over your face!

Your base and power don’t match. Your base and powder should blend into your skin tone. If they don’t, you’ll look a bit orange or ashy and you’ll be able to see the line on your skin very easily. Get help from a make up consultant at a counter to get a good base or bring a friend and test each color on the back of your hand to find a good match.

Your concealer is too light. Your concealer should be one shade lighter than your foundation. If it’s too light, you’ll get a reverse raccoon effect – i.e. your under eye area will be lighter than everything else on your face.

Your eye makeup is too heavy. Eyes are easy to play up, but when you play them up during the day, you run the risk of looking like you’re heading to a night club instead of math class. Keep it light and airy. You can save the smoky lids for evenings or fun makeover parities.
