Party Eyes

If you’re heading to a party, you need a great party look. The best way to dress up your normal make up is to use “party eyes.” There are many names for this particular look, but it boils down to dark sultry eyes that boys will just naturally be drawn to. Next time you’re playing make up games, try creating your own party eyes.

Start with foundation. Sweep a bit of foundation or tinted moisturizer over your eyelids to give the eye make up something to stick to. Be sure it’s blended of course and a very light coat.

Apply a base coat of eye shadow. Use a bright color such as cream, but skip the glitter. Apply the base coat to the eyelid from lashes to eyebrow. Apply some to the corners of your eye as well.

Use a dark shadow and a very thin brush to outline your eyes. You want a thin line, but not a harsh line which is why you shouldn’t use liner.

Fill in your eyelid above the dark line with a medium shade of eye shadow from the colored part of your eye to the corner.

Finally, blend the shadow lightly to make it appear a bit more natural and then apply two dark coats of mascara to both upper and lower lashes. Be sure to avoid any lumps.

The Rules of Make Up Games

When you play make up games, you need to be sure you understand the rules. Playing online make up games is simple enough – complete the faces of dress up dolls with various colors and shades of make up to be sure they look beautiful and stylish. When you take your make up games offline, however, the rules get a bit trickier.
1. Go Light. Unless you’re on stage, you don’t need a heavy coating of make-up. Go light with foundation – and possibly even skip it for some tinted moisturizer instead. Then dust on powder, a bit of blush and apply lip gloss and mascara. Your simple face is done!

2. Don’t Mix Eyeliner and Mascara. Until you’re eighteen and heading out for a night on the town, there is no need for both eye liner and mascara – especially dark eyeliner. If your eyes feel naked with just mascara, use a bit of neutral eye shadow to make them pop.
3. Always Use Blush. A light pink or peach blush can add natural color to your face making you look healthy and fresh. Who wouldn’t want that!

4. Opt for Lip Gloss. Even adult women should stay away from lipsticks 90% of the time. Lip glosses make lips look plump and beautiful. Choose one with a pink or peach color and you’re good to go!

Make Up Games

Playing with make up is a tried and true past-time for girls. Nothing short of a dramatic new haircut can change your look quite as much as a face full of well applied make up. If you’re going to play make up games, prepare to have a great time.

Experiment
Make up is all about enhancing your looks. Evening make up is often dark and dramatic while daytime make up is light and fun. Try out a good look for both and invite your friends over to help in the experimenting.

Learn What Works
Use fashion magazines, sales people, television shows and online make up games to see different trends and the tried and true staples of make up application. Remember, of course, that most of the people getting makeovers on television are much older than you, so you don’t want to copy what they are doing – especially if it involves heavy base and eyeliner which you don’t need.

Feel Good
Once you’ve settled on a look or ten that work for you, enjoy yourself and feel good knowing that you’re applying your make-up the right way in the style that works best for your face and features. Keep that good feeling by washing all make-up off at the end of the day so that your skin has time to breathe. Then start the next morning with a fresh face and a fresh outlook on life.
