It might not seem like a great idea, but if you have a few of your friends riding in a car together for hours at a time on a long car trip, there is no reason that you can’t use that time to perfect some of your make up games. Make up games are a fun way to try out new looks with cosmetics and colors and if you’re able to bring along your make-up kit and brushes, you can certainly use the make up items while you’re riding in the car – it makes a nice break from listening to music or reading a book at least.
Part of the fun of make up games in the car is the mystery of what your friend is doing. There are not many mirrors readily available to the passengers in the backseat, so settle down and get ready for some run the next time you’re riding with friends. Take turns doing each other’s make up games and then be ready for some raised eyebrows when you stop. Imagine walking into a rest stop with club make up on or perhaps some serious fake eyelashes. Of course, the whole thing is all about fun and games – and that just makes it more of an adventure than ever.

Make Up Games and Spring Colors
With spring in the air, it’s important to choose make up colors that are flattering as well as functional for the warmer months. Bright, hot weather requires lighter colors than the dark cool colors of the winter. There shouldn’t be many smoky black or brown eyes showing up now. Instead opt for make up games using purples or greens shades. You can still do a neutral, but opt for a lighter neutral than you used just a few months ago.
The fun part of summer and spring is to find the shades of make up games that you wouldn’t normally wear and give them a try. Try a bit of sparkle, or spend a long weekend playing with bronzer so that you can return to school with a healthy tan and bright, pretty skin. You can even play with a fake tanner that is more permanent just to see what sort of result you can create to truly celebrate the warmer months of spring that will turn into summer before we know it.

Got Shimmer?

If make up games are your thing, it’s likely you already know that glittery glam is very much on its way out. In its place is something much more refined and elegant – shimmer.
Where glitter was large splashes of shine and substance, shimmer is too subdued to be able to identify easily. It’s more like lightness on the face than a hard shine. Shimmer is found in all kinds of make up from foundations to eye shadows. Blush, lipsticks and brighteners all have a bit of shimmer to help your face brighten up and glow this summer.
If you’re not yet familiar with the concept of shimmer and how to use it, head to a favorite cosmetic counter to check out the items available. One of the sales ladies can assist you and explain what each does, but for the most part all traditional items work the same way, but have a bit more lightness to the tone they leave on your skin.
A stick of shimmer can be used to make your whole face look different. Apply a bit at the inside corners of your eyes and on the brow bone. Blend and your look is dazzling. It’s important to remember, however, that there can be too much of a good thing. Don’t overdo shimmer – it’s best in small doses.

Summer Make up Games

It’s definitely summer, and this is the perfect time to open up that make-up kit and try new things. If you’re ready to tackle summer make up in a big way, try these on for a bit of heat and sizzle.
Shimmer – Throw a bit of shimmer on, but in very small doses. A sparkly lip gloss or a shimmery eye shadow can make you shine. Just remember that you’re not trying out for the part of shining sun in the summer play, so you don’t need to glisten and glow from every direction. A dot does a lot with shine.
Shade – If having a perfect tan is important to you, the sun won’t give you the one you need. In fact, a real sun tan will hurt you in a big way down the road. Instead, you should invest in an excellent self tanner. If you apply the tanner lightly and buy a product with an excellent reputation, you’ll be sure to find a beautiful bronze shade.
Subtle – Sometimes less is more. Wipe off all your make up and go naked for a bit. If you just can’t stand it, add a lip gloss and waterproof mascara, but that’s it. A bit of healthy breathing room can be really good for your pores.

Summer Lips

If you’re trying to play it smart this summer, you need to protect your lips. Of course, no fan of makeup games would want to throw sunscreen on her lips. It would smell funny and taste bad, but you can look great while protecting your lips from the sun and the heat.
Lip Damage
You might not think about it that much, but all of your skin suffers from too much sun and the hot, dry weather. Your lips may start to feel chapped and blistered if you spend too much time without protection, so always be sure you keep good lip protection handy.
Lip Basics
If you’re a basic kind of girl, you can go with the most standard of lip protection – Chapstick. There is a great Chapstick with sunscreen built right in. Spread that on your lips and you’ll be in business. Of course, the Chapstick does a great job of protecting your lips, but not such a hot one of making them look pink and kissable.
Lip Gloss
Research at your local drug store to find make up that does more than add color. There is a huge amount of lip gloss and lipstick out there that have built in sunscreen and extra moisture. Grab a new tube in a light, fresh summer color and you’ll be in business for the rest of the summer.
