Make Up Games Grown Up

The best make up games were the ones we played as kids at sleep over parties. We brought along our Kaboodles and we pulled out any number of make up items to use on each other. Fancy eyeshadows and nice mascara were easy enough to get our hands on. We might have swiped lipsticks from mom and bought some cheap base. It was all very exciting and the most fun we had at times was putting together a fun, fresh face. A big hand held mirror lit us up and made it all great fun.

Now that we’re grown up, we might still have lipsticks stolen from Mom, but we also have lost some of the fun of the make up. We need to get back to that place. It’s simple to find the looks we need everyday and stick with a five-minute-face. But is that what we should be doing? Why not try something totally new and different instead? It’s all part of the adventure.

Make Up Games and Beauty

Make up games are used to make women more beautiful. Does this mean that the women aren’t already beautiful? Of course not. Women are beautiful in any shape or form, but make up games do make it much easier for a woman to enhance her beauty properly. With make up games, a woman is able to draw attention to her best features while playing down the features that aren’t as exciting or that she doesn’t actually like.

Make up games aren’t a way to hide any thing away. Unless it’s a small red mark, concealer isn’t going to actually conceal much of anything. Instead, make up games are a way to let your natural beauty shine through without trying to mask anything. In fact, when you do try too hard, masking your natural beauty is very easy to do – you hide it behind obvious makeup that actually can detract from your look rather than making you look amazingly stylish and attractive.

Make Up Games: An Intro

Make up games are a great way to really get to know your face and what your best looks are. When you play make up games, you’re leaning about colors and shading that is right for your skin texture and your face, while at the same time, you’re trying to figure out how to truly enhance your looks. After all, make up games are all about enhancing your looks. Make up games aren’t a way to cover or conceal things that you don’t like about your face.

When you play make up games, you’re looking for opportunities to find ways to play down the things you don’t like – while not hiding them exactly – while playing up the things you do like. If you have beautiful lips, you might opt for a bright lipstick while using neutrals on the rest of your face. If your eyes are striking, you’ll play those up while setting for a simpler lip color to try and bring balance to your face. Make up games are a great way to enhance your look overall.

Make Up Games for Winter

Once the winter months arrive, you have more options as to your make up games. While the summer months needed glimmer and shimmer and light applications, winter gives you much more in the way of options simply because the days aren’t as bright, the air is cooler and you’re spending less time in the sun. Your first step for make up games in the winter should always be a good moisturizer. Wash your face and put on a good moisturizer. Then you can use a base to even out your skin tone and top that with loose powder.

Brush on a bit of blush for extra color, and don’t be afraid to really add a bit of pink or peach to your cheeks. The winter heater and wind will add some pink to your cheeks and nose, but we can also wind up looking sallow and dull under the lights, so you want to add some life to your face as easily as you can, and that’s with blush. You’ll need some darker eyeshadow and a bit of mascara to finish off your look before you’re suitable for an evening on the town.  

Make Up Games for Goth Girls

Goth girls want to look beautiful, and they can, but they need to choose their makeup wisely. Rather than smearing on the dark eye shadow and lipstick, goth girls should opt for a more attractive look in the classic gothic style. The original gothic style was a period of darkness with polished women of old with fair skin, dark eyes and often dark red lips. The gothics closely resembled vampires in that sense. Indeed, many vampire novels came out about this time.

Lace, flowing locks of hair and sweeping updos were normal for the gothic ladies, so there are definite lessons to be learned from that style. Girls today who have to have a goth style should start with fair skin. Foundation can be used to smooth out a light complexion, but be sure to make your foundation to your skin tone. If your foundation is too light, it will make you sallow and yellow rather than suitably pale. Once your foundation is on, use a bit of eye shadow and perhaps a stroke of eyeliner. A sweep of mascara finishes off the eyes, while a berry red lip gloss is just what you need to make your lips look beautiful.

Removing Make Up Games

Once you have your make up games on your face, you’re ready for action. Go wild and have fun out with your friends for the night, but then when you get home again, you need to take care of your face right away. Even the best make-up is still a presence on your face and that make up can start to cause problems if your skin reacts badly to it. When you get home from your evening out, make it your first stop to wash your face.

Use a heavy soap designed to remove the make-up layers. Heavy doesn’t have to mean harsh, of course, but you do want to be sure all of the make up games is off your face. Next, use a special make up remover to take off the eye make up. Scrubbing at your eyes can be bad for this fragile skin up on the eye area, so gentle remover is best. Finally, when you’re all scrubbed and clean, use a heavy cream or moisturizer as a night cream to help replenish the moisture the washing has removed from your skin. You’ll wake up with smooth, lovely skin just waiting for the day’s adventures in make up applications.  

Make Up Games and Eyes

Your make up games have to be especially delicate around the most sensitive area of the face. The skin around your eyes is by far the thinnest on the face and this makes it the most likely to wrinkle, to stretch, to dry out and to give you trouble. When you’re faced with the trouble of the make up games and your eyes, always start small. You can make bolder choices as you work, but it’s hard to clean off this area again to start over and you don’t want to damage the tissue, so be careful.

Always start your make up games with a dab of moisturizer. Creams designed especially for the eye area are best, but even a daily moisturizer will do. Rub in the cream well before starting on your eye make-up. Use foundation to give you an even working palate and highlighter will bring your eyes forward. A thin line of eyeliner and a light dusting of shadow is neutral before you apply mascara to finish out the eye area.
