Make Up Games for Springtime

This year, why not do some spring cleaning in your make up kit with some fun make up games? There is an expiration date on most your make up items, so you’ll actually be doing yourself a big favor if you go through your collection to find the old stuff, toss it out and then build a collection of make up that actually works, is stylish and is fresh as well.

Many times we collect make up based on what we get as handouts from others or from the bargain bins of stores. While there is nothing wrong with that, it’s nice to walk into the store and buy just what you need without worrying about what’s on sale or hurting anyone’s feelings. So do it! Give yourself a budget for the day and then head over to the drug store to try out some new styles and colors. Your make up games will not only show you some great new items to add to your collection, but you’ll be beyond stylishly presented as well in the latest trends.

Make Up Games for Teenagers

I work with teenagers every day of the week, and I’m always a bit amazed by some of the looks they pull together with their make up games. Growing up I learned that make up games were designed to help enhance your natural beauty and appearance. You aren't supposed to make your make up so outlandish that everyone knows you’re wearing tons. You’re supposed to make it look as though you just happen to be that amazingly beautiful.

But sometimes the make up games that the girls are playing now involve colors that are unnatural and plenty of glitter and sparkle. Sure, I get that you can wear something a bit wild to the clubs or out in the evenings, but many of these girls are wearing the bold shadows during the week. They are wearing it to Algebra class or softball practice. Perhaps what these girls need is a warning label in their make up games online. They should be told that some looks are only safe for the evening hours – and a bit outlandish while the sun is still shining.
