Make Up Games and Sweat

Unless you’re lucky enough to live in one of those places that’s perfect year-round, you’ll be spending some serious time in the heat this summer. And with heat comes sweat, no matter what we choose to call it. When those pores open up and we start to “glisten” or “perspire”, make up games you’ve spend considerable time constructing can be ruined almost in seconds. To avoid potential ruin, plan your make-up games very carefully in the summer months especially.

Your first step will be to skip any oily foundations. In fact, you can skip anything that’s oily – tubular blushes, foundation, eye make-up. If it’s oily, it will just flow like a fountain off your skin. If you can, skip the foundation all together and opt for a tinted moisturizer. This will give you a healthy glow without being so heavy. Tinted moisturizer can also wash off, though, so look for a waterproof variety. All of your make up games should be water proof to protect yourself from a melting face – this includes your mascara and eye make-up. Keep make up games minimal and opt for powered finishes to stick better to a sweaty face. You’ll look great and hopefully keep the shine under controla s well.

Make Up Games and Summer Months

I’d like to offer you a challenge for these summer months. I’d like for you to go throughout the entire summer without playing your usual make up games. Sure play the games online and learn new techniques, but enjoy the warmth of the summer sun on your face without covering it with make up and other lotions and potions. While make up has some wonderful virtues, over the summer months, the sun exposure and humidity makes your skin extra oily at times. Why compound that with make up if you can help it?

Not only is there the risk of added break-outs over the summer months thanks to increased sweat and oil, there is also the basic benefit of going without make-up. You’ll look pretty for just being you without all of the glamour. If you’re scared to even think of it, at least leave behind the base and powder. Just a bit of waterproof mascara and lipgloss still leaves your face mostly bare so that the world can see your natural beauty without help from any manmade products.

Make Up Games: Teeth Whitening

It doesn’t fall into the traditional category of make up games, but having your teeth whitened can actually do quite a bit for your overall look. White, bright teeth are a sign of good health and an attractive nature. Getting your teeth whitened is actually pretty straight forward.

Your Dentist – Your dentist can easily whiten your teeth with laser treatments or with a topical gel. You might get a tray to wear at night with the whitening gel. These treatments are more intense than the ones you get over the counter, but can also be expensive.

Pharmacy – The pharmacy has a nice collection of teeth whitening agents available as well. These make up games are over the counter making them cost less and giving you a chance to try them without a prescription. Stickers, gels and patches help to whiten teeth considerably for a reasonable amount at home.

Make Up Games: Sweaty Skin Care

It comes with the heat of summer – that fine glaze of sweat on your face that you have to deal with. Even the loveliest among us deal with a bit of perspiration walking across a black parking lot in the sun or walking down the street in sweltering still weather. But how you deal with that sweat can make all the difference in how you feel and how you look to others.

Antiperspirant – Presumably you’re already wearing deodorant so that you smell fresh and clean even if you’re a bit sweaty, but check your brand to see if it’s actually just a deodorant or if you’re using an antiperspirant as well. Using an antiperspirant actually stops some of the sweat you might experience on a hot day – deodorants don’t.

Oil Free Products – Your sweaty skin is producing a ton of oil already, so you don’t want to smear more oil on your face with certain cosmetics and skin care products. Opt out of oily makeup and find oil control products instead. These will help you look more refreshed and even keep some of that sweat hidden.
